The 2026-27 school year will be the third year that we have offered this opportunity to school leaders. This course has proved to be a practical place of reflection among colleagues, up-to-date discussions on current events/challenges, and a strong place of colleagueship and shared professional learning.
The course is designed for educational leaders who want to enhance their leadership skills in managing energy, building trust, and effective communication among other skills. Through a combination of provided content, discussions, and case studies, participants will develop a deep understanding of key leadership concepts and strategies related to belonging, core values, budgets, trauma-informed school practices, supervision and evaluation, hiring, retention, recruitment, data-driven decision making, and multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) planning. The course will provide opportunities for participants to reflect on their own leadership practices and develop action plans to implement in their educational settings.
