The VPA is offering two proven workshops as open enrollments. The dates have been selected to best suit Vermont Athletic Directors and these registrations are open to all Vermont educators.

Better Conversations Every Day 

11/19/24, 8:30 to 3:30

• This workshop is utilized around the world as a cornerstone of leadership development in large and small businesses, schools, and nonprofits. Nearly 20 school districts have brought this workshop (VPA facilitated) to their school leaders. It is very well received. The workshop is highly interactive and explores listening to understand, asking powerful questions, challenging and support, and establishing next steps. This is geared to empower ADS to have tough conversations that have meaningful results. It helps participants build agency in others so that others might find their own answers rather than simply always coming to you for problem solving. 

Step Up to Conflict 

3/27/25, 8:30 to 12:30

• This workshop is a half-day workshop that has also been widely well received among school leaders in Vermont. It concentrates on helping participants identify their most important values and recognize that conflict is often, at its root, a difference in emphasis on given values. It is an interactive workshop where participants get to explore strategies and their own real world conflicts with immediate take aways.
