Leading People Through Change: Friday, November 13th (2026)

Now, perhaps more than ever, The Vermont school leadership landscape is experiencing significant change. This Center for Creative Leadership workshop will be facilitated by VPA staff. The workshop will include trademarked take-home materials that focus on the communication, collaboration, and commitment needed to help align teams, peers, and communities through organizational change. Participants will explore their own change preferences, identify the growth edge of a current professional challenge, and draft an actionable plan to apply new lessons and perspectives. This workshop offers practical strategies for any school leader navigating change within their school or district.

AI Ready Leadership: Thursday, March 25th (2027)

8:30am to 3:30pm: Lunch Provided

AI Ready Leadership prepares school and district leaders to navigate the rapidly changing AI landscape with clarity, ethics, and practical strategies. Participants will gain an overview of current AI issues and emerging legislation affecting schools, including student data privacy, academic integrity, and policy responsibilities at the local level. The workshop explores both the potential and risks of AI in K–12 settings, addressing privacy, surveillance, academic integrity, and local policy responsibilities. Through short case studies and scenarios, leaders will examine real-world dilemmas and opportunities within their own systems. Throughout the day, participants will practice using AI tools for essential leadership tasks, such as drafting communications, analyzing budget and survey data, and creating templates for feedback.
