VPA "Strong Ground" Book Group

Description

A "Strong Ground" book group is a dynamic and supportive space for exploring Brené Brown's insights on courageous leadership, resilience, and human connection. Over 8 sessions, participants will engage with themes including daring leadership, facing uncertainty, and cultivating the skill sets essential for deep collaboration and growth. Guided by reflective discussion and actionable practices, the group will use Brown's “Strong Ground” as a playbook for reimagining leadership, focusing on the disciplines of difficult conversations, paradoxical thinking, productive urgency, and wholeheartedness in the modern world. 

Each session invites members to reflect on their experiences, challenge conventional thinking about performance and vulnerability, and build the “athletic stance” of leadership that Brown describes, a foundation for both stability and rapid change in today’s fast-paced environments. Whether participants are senior leaders or emerging voices, this book group will foster a space for learning and meaningful connection built on empathy and the genius in this virtual learning space.

Time

Every other Wednesday (except on a holiday) from 4:00 - 5:00 PM 

Dates: Nov 5th, Nov 19th, Dec 3rd, Dec 17th, Jan 7th, January 21st, Feb 4th and Feb 18th.

Location

These session are online. A google meet link will be sent to you prior to our first session on November 5th
